Terry Greene: Toy Camera Puts 'Wigs' in Play

Terry Greene joins ARTvision via a connection from Barb Shadomy - and offers us “Wigs,” shot at Kim’s Wig Center in Asheville. Terry shoots with a toy camera as a hobby, and was able to capture the scene in a fun, abstracted way.

“The camera has no controls except for the shutter release,” she says. “It’s the kind of shooting I do for fun.”

My ‘real job’ is as an architectural photographer, so it's very technical and precise and has to be just so. I still use large-format cameras (4x5 and 8x10) in a lot of my work, so the ability to shoot spontaneously with this little toy camera is very freeing. I never know what I'm going to get until the film is processed.”

“Wigs” is offered for a donation to Positive Impact for $450. (reserve now)
