The ‘Patterns’ of Artist Sean Mansfield

As an overall event, we are lucky to be treated to artistry sourced from all over the country - and Sean “Buck” Mansfield is a good example of that multi-city infusion of talent. Splitting time between Ft. Lauderdale and Saratoga Springs, N.Y., Sean is logging his fourth year as displaying ARTvision artist and works in many different media. “The Patterns of Prague” is a photography/mixed media-based collection of four architectural photos that struck him while visiting Europe.

“‘Patterns’ is a collection of detail photos of some of the wonderful facades of this stunning city,” he says. “Architecture is always my favorite subject when shooting pictures; it challenges me like no other area, and remains an inspiration in the furniture design and home remodeling work I do. Many buildings in Prague have these wonderful textures and colors, in addition to their great overall architecture design and elements. (see more of the finished piece)

“I found I was drawn to the simplicity and elegance of the patterns alone,” he adds. “These shots that I took unaccompanied by the rest of their buildings became some of my favorite shots on this trip.”

The printed piece is 20 x 24" and the framed piece is 24 x 30; the collection is floated on handmade banana leaf paper, and is offered at $
295.
